Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

Welcome to Tariro Connect. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the platform.

1. Account Registration

To use Tariro Connect, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information, including your real name, email address, and farm details.
  • Keep your password secure and not share your account credentials with others.
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the platform.

2. Use of Service

Tariro Connect is designed to help Zimbabwean farmers and buyers. You may use the platform to:

  • Generate harvest estimates for your farms and plantings.
  • Connect with registered buyers and schedule crop deliveries.
  • Access market pricing information and track your farming activities.

You may not use the platform to:

  • Submit false or misleading information about your farm, crops, or harvest data.
  • Attempt to manipulate market prices or interfere with other users' transactions.
  • Access or attempt to access other users' accounts or private data.
  • Use automated tools to scrape data or overload the platform.

3. Harvest Estimates

Tariro Connect provides harvest estimates based on data models, historical benchmarks, and climate information. It is important to understand that:

  • Estimates are informational tools, not guarantees of actual harvest outcomes.
  • Actual yields depend on many factors beyond our models, including weather events, pest outbreaks, soil conditions, and farming practices.
  • You should use estimates as one input among many when making farming and financial decisions. Tariro Connect is not liable for decisions made based on our estimates.

4. Marketplace

Tariro Connect facilitates connections between farmers and buyers. Regarding marketplace transactions:

  • Tariro Connect acts as a facilitator, not a party to transactions between farmers and buyers. We help connect you but do not guarantee any transaction.
  • A platform commission of 5% applies to completed transactions facilitated through the platform.
  • Disputes between farmers and buyers should first be resolved directly between the parties. Tariro Connect may assist in mediation but is not obligated to resolve disputes.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and technology on Tariro Connect — including our prediction models, user interface, branding, and documentation — are the intellectual property of Tariro Connect. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

Tariro Connect is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, crop losses, financial losses based on harvest estimates, failed transactions, or service interruptions.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes arising from the use of Tariro Connect shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the platform or by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
